I’m now an award winning developer!
Last night, my game Perfection took a Philly Geek Award for Indie Game of the Year, 2013. That’s pretty cool. As someone who grew up and is frequently influenced by the Philadelphia area, it feels pretty special to get recognition back from that community! 🙂
Progress on Coin Crypt has been slowed for the last week or two in the wake of some personal obligations as well as work on a new project that’s getting made on a stricter deadline, ostensibly for an employer. I’ve also been making a point of participating in regular game jams over at friend studio Cipher Prime. And I have a couple other freelance projects I’ve been chipping away at in the meantime too. It feels like it’s already been a while since I released my last game, which was Perfection. in May–but I suppose I’ve been spreading myself pretty thin since then. Until this year I only ever did one game at a time, maybe picking up a second one every once in a while, but lately I’ve been enjoying experimenting with lots of different game types and trying out lots of smaller projects.
TLDR; lots of games getting made, hopefully more will see the light of day soon.
PS: I’m going to be at Pax Prime in a couple of weeks, demoing Perfection at a venue which I can’t divulge quite yet. Hope to see you there, too!Posted under:
